Nomu

NeoOffice in your menu bar

Nomu

Nomu is an application that helps you to quickly access your NeoOffice documents and templates. Sitting in your menu bar, it provides shortcuts to all NeoOffice applications (Writer, Draw, Impress, …), the opening of existing files, and a list of documents and templates you recently opened with Nomu. It improved my workflow when needing to quickly jot down a letter (opening a template from the recent items) or do a small update on my time sheet (opening an existing document).

NOMu 1.2 is the current version, see the release notes for the latest changes. You can download it here. Nomu is free as in beer and comes with no warranty whatsoever. I'm sharing it because it helped me accessing my documents and I would like to provide it to others who might have the same needs.

Unfortunately — or luckily, if you hate to have your recent items cluttered — Nomu will only display those documents and templates that you opened using Nomu itself. Keep this in mind when wondering why files don't appear in the recent items — just open them with Nomu once and they'll appear.

Things I aim for in a future version:

In the screenshot, the magnifying glass icon next to Nomu's is wafflesoftware's excellent Monocle, by the way. Give it a shot if you haven't!
